You want to choose a cheese board that will allow you to show off the cheeses that you have selected and allow you to display them in a way that will inspire ‘oohs’ and ‘ahhs’ from your dining guests!
You should choose a cheese board large enough to keep cheeses of different shapes and sizes from touching each other.
Wooden cheese boards are traditional, while marble is more elegant, offering a cool surface. Olive wood is very hard and is ideal for cheese as the natural oil content of olive wood will kill harmful bacteria. They can also come in oak, havea, bamboo and elm wood.
When arranging your cheese selection, be sure to display them in a manner that makes them most accessible to guests.
We always suggest putting smaller cheeses in the middle, and then place soft cheeses around them. Hard cheeses should be arranged around the outside of the cheese board to make them easier to cut
