Carving Knife
Best Carving Knives
Very often a carving knife is between 20 cms to 38 cms long and they can have either a pointed or rounded tip with a smooth, non-serrated blade.
Typically a carving knife is much thinner than a chef’s knife for example – this enables it to carve thinner, more precise slices.
We suggest that you look for a longer blade, which will give you more room to slice back and forth with minimal sawing effort.
Sometimes these knives will have a fluted edge to the blade, which keeps meat from sticking to the blade.
These knives are ideal for cutting roasts / legs of lamb / poultry / hams / other large cooked meats as well as for large pieces of fish like salmon
