Bread Knife
Best Bread Knives
Bread knives have a rigid serrated edge. This type of blade allows the knife to cut through a hard surface of a loaf of bread without tearing or squashing the softer interior – this also makes it the best knife for slicing tomatoes!
Handy Tips: Choosing a knife with an offset handle will ensure the users knuckles will not touch the cutting surface when the blade has cut all of the way through the food. Also, choosing one with a suitable blade length is important. We suggest that it should be no shorter than 7″ in length and the longer – the better. A 9″ or longer knife blade is best for large home made loaves of bread.
